Larry Merrill has been taking, exhibiting, and selling photographs for over thirty years.
He has had solo exhibitions at: the George Eastman House, Rochester, NY; the Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester; The World Bank, Washington, D.C.; Yale University Global Fellows Program; ARTECO Institute, Cumberland, Md.; Manes Gallery, NYC; and the M. Early Gallery, Rochester, NY.
His work is in the collections of: the George Eastman House; the Israel Museum; the Minneapolis Institute of Arts; the Museum of the City of New York; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Yale University Art Gallery; the New York Historical Society; and the World Bank.
He has photographed for the World Bank in Bhutan, Haiti, Peru, and Senegal. At the Metropolitan Museum of Art he was guest curator of The Camera and the Photograph: Images in Light, in the Uris Education Gallery. His recent monograph, Pedestrian Photographs, is available in bookstores. He lives in Rochester, NY.
